Parsippany, NJ (July 29, 2003) Interactive Media Associates, Inc. (IMA), a leading Internet eCommerce planning, development and marketing services firm, today announced that it had released a redesigned version of the IATSE International Web site ( http://www.iatse-intl.org).
According to James B. Wood, General Secretary-Treasurer, International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employes (IATSE): "Interactive Media Associates impressed us with their professional, hard-working, creative team. Since the initial meeting, IMA has been supportive of our needs, enthusiastic of our ideas and took a vision of what we wanted for our site and made it a reality. We introduced several new departments including a local union database and a historical time line – a compilation of more than 100 years – which, to me, is a vital part of our site. We recently launched the new site and have received an overwhelming positive response from our membership. We would recommend them highly, and we look forward to a long-standing relationship with IMA."
Other new sections included an animated introductory sequence highlighting the versatility and longevity of the union, a major section on organizing, and an improved area on the union’s political action committee (PAC), including a links to an online contribution interface. Other areas that were updated include the publications area, the yellow card shows section that contains information about traveling performances, and new News & Events areas, including photo galleries, a member highlight page, and a calendar of events.
“We are delighted with the results of our collaboration with IATSE International,” said Len Muscarella, president of IMA. “We know that our work with other unions, such as 1199 NBF, IATSE Local One, and IATSE Local 52 were instrumental in our winning this engagement. It is fitting that IATSE International now has one of the premiere union sites on the Internet today.”
The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employes, Moving Picture Technicians, Artists and Allied Crafts of the United States, Its Territories and Canada was originally chartered by the American Federation of Labor as the National Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employes in 1893. The union has evolved over the course of 110 years of geographic and craft expansion as well as technological advancement, today encompassing the crafts of Animation / Computer Generated Imagery, Front of House, Laboratory, Make-up and Hair, Motion Picture and Television Production, Post Production, Projection and Audio-Visual, Scenic Artists, Stagehands, Television Broadcast, Trade Show/Exhibition, Treasurers and Ticket Sellers, and Wardrobe.
