IMA Launches New Sites in Q3 and Q4 of 2004

Parsippany, NJ (November 1, 2004) Interactive Media Associates, Inc. (IMA), a leading Internet eCommerce planning, development and marketing services firm, today announced that it had released several new and improved web sites during the third and forth quarters of 2004. Among these sites are Capezio Dance Factory Outlet, ( www.dancefactoryoutlet.com ), an interactive game site for the Nontraditional Career Resource Center at Rutgers University ( www.ncrctv.com ), Family Promise ( www.familypromise.org ), BuyYellow.com ( www.buyyellow.com ), and Morris Museum (www.morrismuseum.org ).

“The IMA team continues to create premium Web sites for our clients,” said Len Muscarella, president of IMA. “We know that our current client base continues to recommend us, which is one reason why we continue to do well despite a down economy. We continue to be proud of the work we do in producing sites that are simultaneously usable, functional, and highly attractive.”

The wide variety of sites required an equally diverse number of approaches. The Capezio DanceFactory Outlet site, for example, is primarily an online catalog shop that features discounted items from the world-famous Capezio dancewear, skatewear, and exercise clothing lines. IMA created a store that is easy to use and highly reliable, which was important to this client who had already lost customers because of the faults of its previous site. To woo these customers back, IMA and DanceFactory Outlet have embarked on a marketing campaign that includes e-mail newsletters, Web and print advertising, and special Web offers.

The Nontraditional Career Resource Center came to IMA with a grant to create an interactive game that would interest middle-school and high school students in how career, family, and residence choices could affect their standard of living. Based on data gathered by for the Self-Sufficiency Standard, developed by Dr. Diana Pearce for Wider Opportunities for Women as part of the Family Economic Self-Sufficiency Project, IMA created NCRCTV.org, an online game that guides students through the consequences of life choices. The site created by IMA allows students to select a character that represents them as they move through the game, and gives them in-depth information about some of their choices along the way.

Family Promise's mission is to help low-income families nationwide achieve lasting independence and to redress the underlying causes of poverty and homelessness. They do this through four program areas, including Interfaith Hospitality Networks (IHNs), which provide shelter, meals, and comprehensive support services to homeless families; Family Mentoring, which helps prevent homelessness by training volunteers to be advisors and advocates to low-income families; Just Neighbors, an interactive educational program that raises awareness of the root causes of poverty and homelessness as the first step in establishing community-based responses; and Community Initiatives, which foster local IHN outgrowth programs, such as transitional housing, job training, childcare, and literacy. Their original Web site was difficult to maintain and navigate. IMA created a streamlined and attractive site for this worthy organization, highlighting the wonderful work that they do. Further plans for this site include Intranet sites for the various program areas.

The Morris Museum, situated in Morristown, NJ, wanted a new site launched in time with the announcement of the Murtogh D. Guinness collection of nearly 700 music boxes, automatic musical instruments and mechanically activated figures dating from the late 18th to the early 20th centuries. The $4 million collection reflects innovative technology, beautiful craftsmanship, compelling sound, and historic heritage. They also wanted a site that would allow visitors to more easily access specific information about the Museums special exhibitions and collection. In addition, IMA built an online museum shop, as well as a ticketing booth for the Bickford Theatre.

The Yellow Pages Association was facing a major advertising campaign, and wanted a Web site that would more convincingly convey their key messages. IMA created a site for them in record time, including several Flash introductions that conveyed the new Yellow Pages Association tagline: It pays. We'll prove it. In addition, IMA created Flash demonstrations of how to create effective ads, and is working on a CD-ROM version of the Yellow Pages Association's media kit.
