Parsippany, NJ (December 23, 2002) Interactive Media Associates, Inc. (IMA), a leading Internet eCommerce planning, development and marketing services firm, today announced that it had released a redesigned version of the award-winning Juilliard School Web site. The new Web site is even more versatile than the original IMA-designed version, which had previously won the 2001 WebAwards Best University Site of the Year.
The site contains several new features, including more announcements and headline space on the homepage, aggregated links pages for prospective students, current students, faculty and staff, alumni and friends, and the press, including links to Juilliard's Intranet site, new monthly mailing lists, including a monthly e-mail newsletter and departmental updates. Still in development are a new virtual tour and a Sounds of Juilliard module (components of both are already on the site), an Alumni performance calendar, and online donation capability.
In terms of the new look, the site much more closely ties in with the Juilliard Journal, while still having its own distinct identity. A flash introduction page initiates newcomers to the site to the school's three major arts foci -- dance, drama, and music. The homepage contains dramatic photos of the different school divisions, along with ample room for headlines. And the interior pages are designed to place the content of the page in the center of the screen, no matter what browser resolution is set.
The Juilliard School is one of the foremost performing arts institutions in the world. This private conservatory of the performing arts offers programs through the Divisions of Dance, Drama, and Music from its campus at Lincoln Center in New York City. Juilliard represents the finest in performing arts education, growing with and responding to the needs of a thriving cultural community in the United States and abroad, its undergraduate student body of about 500 drawn from 45 states and 50 foreign countries.
According to Ira Rosenblum, director of publications at The Juilliard School, early response from the new updated site has been extremely favorable.
